An endless sea of cat-tails that puff out little white seeds with the coming of Leaf-fall, these plants signal the border between dry land and the swamp that makes up most of MarshClan territory. Amongst these tall stalks, frogs thrive, the main prey of the cats on this land.

A massive grove of wild blackberries, these winding vines are nothing but a mass of thorns. Though the berries attract flocks of birds and many small rodents it is nearly impossible for a cat to catch them without getting tangled and scratched. MarshClan survives mostly on a diet of frogs, because the animals in the Thicket are so hard to reach.

This pond looks like a cat should be able to wade through it, the water is so thick with lily pads and duckweed. At the very edge, however, the ground drops nearly a tail-length, and it does not get any shallower further into the water. It takes great strength to clamber back out of this pool once a cat has fallen in, and the bank is more than likely to give way under a cat's weight.

Standing at the top of a hill, in a part of MarshClan territory near the border with RainClan, where the ground is relatively dry, an ancient hemlock is home to several porcupines. The creatures nibble at the bark and leave mounds of their dung around the base. Cats are encouraged to avoid this space, though some apprentices make a game of seeing how close they can come to one of the spiky animals.
